Slow adventure at the beach

It might seem crazy to go to the beach, when the weather is exactly the opposite of what you would imagine, when you think of a beach adventure. Reality is that you won't have a tan when you come home, but you will connect with nature and you will have fun!

Never too grey to go outside

In Norwegian we have a saying: Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlige klær.  It means something like: there is no bad weather, only bad clothes. This is one of those things that is imprinted in Norwegian children from the moment they enter this world. It is said so many times that in the end you start believing in it. And no wonder! If we did not know how to dress according to the weather, we would probably never go out.

Bring an extra jumper

Children love to play outside and if you are wearing the right clothes, you might get wet, but you wont get cold. Not being cold is the key, because then you don't think about the cold, you just laugh and try to catch the waves.Think about it: Have you ever had a bad day out in nature without being cold?
Being warm is the most important factor for having a nice time outdoors. So bring an extra jumper.

Wet, happy and exited, but not cold.

Its good to use lifejackets, just to be on the safe side.

Chase the waves!

The rules of this game is simple: Chase the waves as far as you can in to the sea and run back in before it catches you!
There are multiple ways to run back in: Backwards, jumping, with your eyes closed, or plain and simple, turn and run as fast as you can. It is hilarious if you are little and quite exhausting if you join the little ones. We promise that this grey boring day will provide you with some serious laughter and the day won't feel as grey as it did in the morning.
